Water Damage Drying and Mold Remediation in a Basement in Rolling Meadows

The ceiling of this basement in Rolling Meadows was damaged by a water leak from above. After having sat for a while, the water damage began to develop mold. 

SERVPRO specializes in both water damage restoration and mold remediation. After assessing the situation, our team determined how much drywall needed to be removed and what equipment was needed to not only dry out the structure, but also clear out any excess mold spores within the basement. Notice the air scrubber set up in the After photo venting air outside. After several days, the structure was checked to make sure dryness levels were acceptable, and an indoor environmental engineer was brought in to perform post-testing. The results of the test showed mold levels were reduced to a normal level, meaning mold remediation was successfully completed.
